Like unit heaters, tube heaters are typically used in garages, warehouses and outbuildings. Tube heaters are high efficiency, infrared heaters which come as small as 10' long and as big as 60' long. These units are gas or propane powered and deliver a more consistent heat than a unit heater (with unit heaters, the farther you get from the unit, the less you will feel the heat). Unlike unit heaters that heat the air (like a furnace), a tube heater heats surfaces (the floor and the contents of your building) so that if you open a garage door, you don't suffer as much heat loss. In many applications, you can use a tube heater with less clearance than you would need for a unit heater. For more information on tube heaters, visit www.enerco.com.
